Manifest Hope Counseling and Education Services, LLC is a private practice created to serve the growing needs of people struggling to strive in a world saturated with negativity. MHC embraces the notion that quality mental health care services are essential to our preservation and progress as a local and global community. 

We are born with the capacity to hope, endure, and flourish. Over time, life challenges can drain our will to to thrive and when this happens, every aspect of our existence is affected. We make choices about how to respond to these setbacks, and pursuing counseling is a healthy step towards healing. 

MHC is rooted in a desire to bring hope, clarity, inner strength, purpose, and joy back into people's lives by planting seeds of hope as often as possible in whatever ways are possible.

Today I resolve within myself  that I will not spend another second pining away  for what once was or the idealization of what could be. Instead, I commit myself to what is and I embrace it with open arms void of judgment.  I am enough and can make different choices for a better life. 

Important Facts

This practice is primarily virtual, meaning sessions occur via video in a HIPPA-compliant platform called WeCounsel​Residents of Ohio may request in-person sessions available on a very limited basis.

I do not accept any insurance in my practice. Many clients use HSA accounts to help cover costs. Consult your insurance carrier to confirm therapy is a covered expense.

Counseling

Mental and emotional problems can be very overwhelming. Sometimes, the hardest thing to do is admit that you've reached the point where help is needed. There is no shame in asking for help! In fact, taking steps towards your own healing is a positive choice.

Regardless of who you are or what you believe, life is a challenge. You may be experiencing grief, life transitions, or difficult relationships. Perhaps you are an older adult facing the losses of friends, loved ones, or your independence. Maybe you are dealing with physical pains and illness that cause symptoms of depression or anxiety. 

​My goal as a counselor is to empower my clients with helpful tools to become more attuned to their own thoughts, behaviors, feelings, and actions. I will work with you to identify your desired goals, develop action plans designed to help you meet those goals, and provide a safe environment for you to process  your feelings as you navigate the journey on the road to change. What is counseling?

Counseling is an interactive exchange of information and ideas designed to enhance and enrich your life. We will develop goals and work on them together. The length of time spent in counseling varies greatly based on symptom severity and other factors.

Trying new behaviors and talking about unpleasant aspects of your life can push you out of your comfort zone , resulting in feelings of discomfort, pain, anger, sadness, guilt, and frustration. We will manage these risks collaboratively.

What are some benefits of counseling?

Counseling has been shown to reduce feelings of hopelessness and distress, improve mood, increase awareness and insight, and increase coping skills. 
What can I expect from my first session?​

The initial meeting is dedicated to sharing important information about your concerns, symptoms, health and current medications, what you'd like to see change as a result of counseling, boundaries of the counselor-client relationship, and the structure of our work together.

What is a typical counseling session like?​

The typical session will last for approximately 50 minutes. We will discuss your symptoms, process updates, practice techniques, and work on treatment goals. Sessions occur on a schedule that we determine based on your needs.

What if we see each other in public?

Maintaining your confidentiality is a top priority. If we encounter one another outside of the therapeutic setting, I will not initiate any contact. This is to protect your privacy. If you wish to greet me, you are welcome to do so and I will reciprocate a greeting.
